We had a good Christmas yesterday. My stepdaughter and her husband were here along with my Little Elm daughter and her family. We had some baked brie, a first for me and hopefully not the last time. Opened presents and played a game. Missing was my stepdaughter from Philadelphia and my other daughter from Savannah, Georgia. My daughter and her husband and my granddaughter spent the night last night, and it was a special time. Really felt like Christmas with them here. We ate a lot of bad-for-you food and watched tv and I got to play with my granddaughter. I call my granddaughter The Magical Baby, she lights up a room wherever she goes. In my opinion, I don't get to spend near enough time with her, even though she only lives 50 miles away. She is growing up very fast and talks and talks and just loves to play.
I got a few things for Christmas gifts, some nice thoughtful things that I will enjoy. Didn't get a canoe, again. What a nice surprise that would be, though it would not fit under the tree.

Christmas eve
It's Christmas eve. I had to work today. WHat happened to the sanctity of Christ's birthday? Seems every year I am less and less in the Christmas spirit. Does that happen to everyone as they get older? Certainly has happened to me. I like giving presents but I don't like shopping. Really don't care if I get any presents, I just like everyone getting together and eating a good meal and imbibing just enough to get everyone talking a little more. Maybe I am in the Christmas spirit after all.
